Heb 12:1 .. let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us. (AMPC)
The Lord spoke to me in a vision that most of our prayers & blessings are being held up by pebbles. We pray and cry, we bind and loose. We fast without any change of heart. Many times we are loose and cavalier about repentance and sin. We rationalize that we have forgiven others, or humanize why we have sinned Repent means Never to do that action again. True remorse and repentance emerges when we understand the loss of connection to God from sin and wish not to hurt him due to the sacrifice he made for us. He has already carried the weight of guilt and shame to the cross. When repentance is sincere, the pebbles are kicked away and the blessings begin to pour.
